pandora-wood-1Just prior to their late September Pandora 2009 Fall Charms release, Pandora released five beautiful wood Pandora charms.  It is the first time ever that Pandora has worked in wood, and these wood Pandora Beads are absolutely stunning!

The wood Pandora beads are made from five different types of natural wood, with none of the wood being very well known, as an initiative on Pandora Jewelry’s part to help highlight endangered tropical rainforests.

The five Pandora wood charms feature different grains and wood shades, ranging from very dark brown (almost black) shades to a light golden wood shade.  These Pandora charms are made in exactly the same manner as other Pandora beads, and they closely resemble the murano glass beads in style.  The center of the beads are made from sterling silver, and they thread onto the bracelet just like all of the other charms do.

Combining these wood Pandora beads on your existing bracelets will add a lot of charm to them.  Wood has such a great look to it, that it mixes well with either gold or silver. You could also mix them up with your Murano beads for a very unique look.  I’m sure, once you look at them, you will have many ideas how to best showcase your new beads on your bracelet.  Pandora are also releasing some different colored leather bracelets this coming Fall with their Fall 2009 Pandora Charms release and these wood Pandora charms would be just perfect for adding onto a leather bracelet.

Here is a description of the five different wood beads:

They are not terribly expensive, and will most likely retail for somewhere around the $45 price range.  If you haven’t splurged and bought a new charm for a while, I would suggest you don’t wait till the Autumn collection comes out, but go ahead and check out these gorgeous wood Pandora Charms right away. They’re on sale online now, and if not in your favourite jewelry store yet, will be there soon.
