It’s official, they’re out! Well, they have been for a while now, at least at the main Pandora Jewelry retail outlets and true to style they really do look fantastic. One thing that has made Pandora Charms so unique is the ability to mix and match charms, and even other jewelry, so that you can come up with something perfectly suited to either your mood or what you are wearing each time you wear their jewelry. The have done the same with the new release of Pandora watches; many of them have interchangeable bands and bezels which will totally change the appearance of the watch–now, isn’t that fancy?
There are several different styles of watches, with some listed below:
Pandora Imagine: A whole range of watches with interchangeable watch bands and bezels. The clock face is round; you can choose silver, gold, and black or white diamond studded bezels. Silver bezels are around $35, gold $55, Diamond studded gold anywhere up from around $750 or a silver diamond studded bezel for just a little less than the gold–you are paying for the diamonds, it seems, not the gold or silver. Gold with black diamonds is the most expensive, well over $800. If you are looking for a really special gift for someone, I would imagine they would be totally thrilled with a Pandora watch; simply match the style to whatever you can afford, knowing that it is always possible to upgrade afterwards or buy additional bezels as funds permit.
Pandora Imagine Grand Sports: This watch has a large round face. The face itself is back and you can change the straps, choosing either a leather strap or a link strap. This looks like a fairly sturdy watch that would last well. It is a bit pricey, well over $1,000 but it has four separate straps and 3 different bezel designs to choose from–or you can buy them all! It is not suitable for swimming, as it is only water resistant to around 150 feet, but it is perfect for everyday use.
Pandora Imagine Grand: Smaller than the sports watch, but bigger than the Imagine, it costs around $600 or so. Again you can choose different bands and switch the bezel. It looks a great watch and I really like the dark background with gold.
Pandora Pure Slimline: This is a smaller, finer watch with a round face that has less of a rim around it than the Imagine watches. It is available in either gold or silver. Only the bands are interchangeable with this watch, though there is plenty to choose from. There are white, pink, black, silver and champagne colored leather straps available. The straps cost will depend on whether you choose silver or gold fittings. Not my personal favorite as it does look rather plain but I’m sure some people would appreciate the clear and easy to read face. This costs around $375.
Pandora Double Oblong: Rather long oblong watch face, with a double leather strap. Again available in either silver or gold, and the straps are available in a variety of shades including black, brown, purple, green, grey, white and champagne. It is a nice looking watch though the face, perhaps as it is quite small, did not seem that easy to read from a distance. It costs close to $500, and you can buy additional straps if you want to change the look of the watch.
Pandora Petite Circle: As the name implies, the face is a very small, petite circle. I think this is actually my favorite out of all of the watches mainly because I really love the design of the band, however it has a sundial face which to me screams of ‘for show’ rather than ‘practicality’. It too has a very small, think double leather strap though it is not interchangeable, if you want a different colored strap I believe you may need to buy a whole new watch! Other colors available are purple, black and champagne.
Pandora Petite Square: Similar to the Petite Circle, only the watch has a square face rather than a round face. The bands are made from Italian calf leather. Prices vary depending on whether a gold or silver watch is chosen.
While mainly carried by Pandora stores and shop-in-shop sellers now, it will be more widely available in March 2011 as even stores that only stock some Pandora items will be able to sell it then.
What about the quality of the Pandora watch charm itself? That is always an important question, there are so many times I have bought a new watch on appearance alone only to find that it does not perform that well. These watches are Swiss made and come with a three year warranty so they should not only look great but also work well.
